can i have a driving job at 18?
i currently hold a full uk driving licence and am interested in a delivery job or something with a small van how ever i do not own a car/van myself at the mo so just wondered if anyone knew whether there were any companys out there that will give me a van and will be able to insure me on there business policy as im only 18 thanks in advance also i would really like to work for sky does anyone no how old u have to be to to be part of there installation team and drive one of there vans ?
Sadly, even if you got a job offer no company will be able to find insurance for you. Nearer the age of 22 will be the first chance you get.
But you have ambition and no what you want so why not get some skills on board. What about an apprenticeship with BT or similar? They involve driving around with a more skilled colleague and they will also as time goes by let you drive the vans as well.
The only place where you at 18 can drives the works van as such is within the forces and they teach relevant skills as well that give employment in civvy street.
